Mod Mermaid on Viva Magazine

Several months back, I got an email from Lisanne de Munck, Fashion and Lifestyle Editor of Viva Magazine of The Netherlands asking for a photo from my blog to be featured on an article.  After a few emails, photos and a short interview,  I really could not wait to see myself on print.  I was so excited for the issue to come out that everytime I come home starting late January, that I would look at the table in the living area expecting the magazine they promised to send in.  It was such a thrill to see the magazine finally. Thank you Viva!

1. What is your age?

2. How can you define your style in three words?

Unpredictable, contemporary and functional.

3. What is the best way to get a waist-focused outfit? What are the tricks for that?

In my photo, I accentuated the waist with a belt.  The waist can be made as the focal point of any outfit by wearing something that defines it.  This can be achieved with the right accessories and the right play of the silhouette.

4. For what body types are waist-focused outfits most suitable?

I think everyone can pull it off, just a matter of styling.

5. Who are your favorite designers?

I have so many favorite designers, maybe this is also because I don't stick to only one style. But to name a few, I am currently into Alexander Wang, Phoebe Philo, Nicolas Ghesquiere, Ricardo Tisci, Dries Van Noten, Phillip Lim, Olivier Rousteing I could go on and on.
